TERMS OF USE

1. WHO MAY USE STEDY

Stedy is intended only for adults aged 18 or over who are legally permitted to consume alcohol in their location. You must meet both requirements; an 18+ App Store rating does not override a higher applicable legal drinking age.

2. WHAT STEDY DOES

Stedy is a moderation and commitment tool. It lets you choose a drinking limit before an occasion, record drinks, receive configurable reminders and guidance, and review whether you kept the promise you made to yourself.

Stedy does not decide what amount is safe for you. Any limit, message, pattern or recommendation shown by Stedy is general product support based on information you provide and available product data. It is not a medical assessment, safety guarantee or prediction.

3. HEALTH AND SAFETY

Stedy does not provide medical advice, diagnose or treat any condition, calculate a medically safe drinking amount, measure blood alcohol concentration, or determine whether you can drive or perform another safety-sensitive activity. Do not rely on Stedy in an emergency or as a substitute for professional healthcare.

You remain responsible for your decisions and safety. If you are concerned about your drinking, health or immediate safety, seek help from an appropriate healthcare professional or local emergency service.

4. YOUR INFORMATION AND DEVICE

You are responsible for entering information accurately, protecting access to your device and keeping your account secure. Stedy saves core tracking information locally first and synchronises supported account data when connected. Unsynchronised changes, device loss, deletion, operating-system behaviour and backup settings may affect what can be restored.

5. OPTIONAL CONTACTS, MESSAGES AND SHARING

Accountability and sharing are optional. When you choose to share, Stedy prepares content and opens your device's native share sheet or messaging application. It does not read or upload your address book. You choose the recipient, review the content and decide whether to send it.

You must have permission to contact the recipient and must not use Stedy to harass, threaten, mislead, spam or unlawfully contact anyone. Third-party messaging, carrier and platform terms may also apply.

A Live Pledge link is a private bearer link: anyone who receives or is forwarded it may view your first name and pledged limit and acknowledge support until the link expires or is revoked. Do not post it publicly. The recipient may include one optional short encouragement message with their first acknowledgement. That acknowledgement and message cannot be edited through the link. The supporter page does not provide live tracking and should not be used to monitor another person or make safety decisions.

6. NOTIFICATIONS

If you enable reminders, Stedy may schedule notifications through your device. Delivery timing and visibility depend on your device, operating system and notification settings and are not guaranteed. Notification content may be visible to other people who can access your device. You can change or disable notifications in Stedy or in device settings where available.

7. SUBSCRIPTIONS, TRIALS AND PAYMENTS

Subscription-enabled builds display the applicable price, billing period, trial eligibility, renewal terms and cancellation information before purchase.

After onboarding and account sign-in, the first paywall offers one complete free commitment as a deliberate alternative to subscribing. This does not start an Apple subscription or free trial and does not renew. Creating another commitment requires confirmed paid access. The allowance belongs to your Stedy account and does not reset when you reinstall or change devices.

Monthly and annual subscriptions are available. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm a purchase, or when an eligible trial ends under the terms shown before purchase. Renewal uses the applicable store price and billing period. For a free or discounted trial, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends to avoid renewal. Eligibility and any offer duration are determined by the store; a trial is not promised to every user.

Mobile purchases are processed by the applicable platform store, initially the Apple App Store, and are also subject to its terms. An auto-renewing subscription continues until cancelled through the relevant store account. Deleting Stedy or your Stedy account does not automatically cancel a store subscription.

To manage an Apple subscription, open iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Stedy, then choose the available management or cancellation action. Stedy's Settings → Membership also links to store subscription management. See Apple's cancellation instructions. Restore Purchases is available on Stedy's paywall and Membership screen; it checks store-backed access and does not create another purchase. Account deletion and separate provider-data requests are explained in our privacy choices.

Prices, plans and included features may change for valid commercial, product, legal or operational reasons. Any subscription price change will be handled with the notice, explanation and consent or opt-out process required by the applicable store and law.

8. LICENCE AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Bell Software grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use Stedy for its intended purpose in accordance with these Terms and applicable platform rules. You may not copy, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, interfere with or commercially exploit Stedy except where applicable law expressly permits it.

Stedy's software, branding, companion, artwork, copy and other product materials are owned by Bell Software or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you.

9. ACCEPTABLE USE

You must not:

• Use Stedy for an unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purpose.
• Attempt to bypass security, access controls or usage limits.
• Disrupt, damage or overload Stedy or its service providers.
• Upload, submit or share content that infringes another person's rights or privacy.
• Misrepresent Stedy as medical, emergency, legal or professional advice.

10. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Stedy may interact with services provided by Apple, Google, your device manufacturer, mobile carrier, messaging applications, subscription providers, hosting providers and other third parties. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. Bell Software is not responsible for a third-party service outside its reasonable control.

11. AVAILABILITY AND CHANGES

Stedy may change as we improve, secure or maintain the product. We may add, change, suspend or discontinue features, and access may occasionally be interrupted by maintenance, device limitations, provider failures or events outside our reasonable control.

We will not intentionally remove paid access without providing the remedies required by applicable law or the relevant store terms.

12. CONSUMER RIGHTS

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies a consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law where it applies.

Subject to those non-excludable rights, Stedy is provided without additional guarantees that it will always be available, error-free or suitable for every person or circumstance.

13. RESPONSIBILITY AND LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bell Software is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of Stedy, reliance on user-entered information, third-party services, device failure or unavailable reminders. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

14. SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION

You may stop using Stedy at any time. Bell Software may suspend or end access where reasonably necessary to protect Stedy or others, comply with law, address serious or repeated misuse, or discontinue the service. Any active store subscription must be managed separately through the relevant store.

15. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms when Stedy's features, business model, providers or legal obligations change. The latest version will be published at stedyapp.com/terms. We will update the effective date above and provide additional notice before a material change takes effect where reasonably required.

16. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws applying where Bell Software is established in Australia, without limiting any mandatory rights you have under the laws of your location.
